- FAQ | Samantha Green, LMHC
Have questions for Samantha Green about therapy, find your answers here FAQ Frequently Asked Questions About Thearpy IS TELEHEALTH REALLY AS GOOD AS IN-PERSON? Yes! I've found that telehealth offers MANY advantages over traditional in-person therapy including: 1) Your comfort. Being able to talk from the safety and comfort of home can help tremendously with the first step of reaching out for help. 2) Ease. If you are pregnant/postpartum you know how difficult it can be to leave the house (Que bags of baby stuff/changes of clothes!) being able to connect from home saves time and energy that we can put into healing and recovering. 3) More access/more sessions. I'm able to provide more sessions per week than traditional in-person as we don't have to worry about travel/gas/office hours this translate into being able to see YOU more often than previously offered. 4) Improved connection with therapist. Using telehealth I'm able to reach people across county lines (within NYS) this means that you're able to connect with a therapist you may not have had access to otherwise. And connecting with a therapist is the NUMBER ONE predictor of success in therapy. HOW DO I SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT? You can use the "contact me" form and I will reach out to you to schedule a free 15 minute consultation directly! WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I SCHEDULE A CONSULT? We'll chat together to see what your needs are, and if I'm the best therapist for you. One big consideration is level of care, as I see clients through telehealth I want to ensure that you're receiving the proper amount of support and if we decide you need more than I can give, I can assist you with finding a more appropriate provider. SOUNDS GREAT! HOW MUCH DOES THIS ALL COST? I currently accept insurance from BCBS, Aetna, Independent Health, Cigna, Oxford, Oscar and United Healthcare. Prices may vary depending on your plan-I recommend contacting your insurance directly for a more exact price. You can also pay out of pocket for $130 for a standard 60-minute session. HELP! MY QUESTION ISN'T ON HERE! If you don't see a helpful answer, please use the "contact me" form and ask directly. I will work on getting back to you within 24-48 hours WHAT IS YOUR STYLE/WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING OUT FIRST SESSION? I prefer to use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy; essentially I want to help YOU reach your goals. I understand that most people do not want to be in therapy for a long time using these two therapist I find the quickest and most effective way to help improve mood and reach your goals!
